Council is calling for quotations (lump sum) from suitably qualified and experienced contractors/suppliers to implement and carry out all required modifications on the outstations and at the SCADA Hubs under this project scope to fully implement the recommendations made in this report noted below.
The Gympie Regional Council’s SCADA Upgrade Project is to implement a robust and reliable SCADA system for the Gympie Regional Council (the Council) to monitor and operate the water and sewerage assets in the GRC’s entire Regions.
A high-level project is in progress to provide an interconnected cellular data network (IPWAN) across the GRC regions water & sewage assets.
This RFQ is for the implementation of SCADA Planning Report recommendations on Coastal Region radio telemetry network to divert each township’s water outstations to its water treatment plant SCADA Hub and sewage network outstations to its sewage treatment plant SCADA Hub in order to be able to optimise the operation and control of the combined facilities from their control room.
GRC’s Coastal Region radio telemetry network is not currently as per the configuration recommended in the SCADA Planning report that was carried out in 2018.
