The Rattler Railway Company (RRC) is a wholly controlled subsidiary of the Gympie Regional Council and is under the direction of an independent board. The assets controlled by the RRC include track infrastructure, heritage rollingstock, station buildings and rollingstock maintenance depot (The workshop). The Rattler Rail Company Ltd (RRC) conducts rail operations all year round. The hours of operation are Wednesday to Sunday between 08:00 and 17:30. Trains currently operate four days a week however it is expected that by March 2019 trains services will operate daily Wednesday to Sunday.
Consistent with the ongoing development of contemporary facility management processes, the RRC is looking to more efficiently and effectively deliver cleaning services through a performance based,
period Contract. Other benefits being sought are financial gains through economies of scale and innovative cleaning and management techniques from a one point of contact professional service
provider. The RRC’s imperatives include:
All cleaning services are performed in accordance with the cleaning specifications for technical, operational, environmental and financial performance;
Diligent budget management and achieving the best value for money from outsourced cleaning services;
Satisfying regulatory and legislative requirements of RRC’s purchasing procedures;
Achieving economic benefits and economies of scale through the most advantageous Contract structure that best meets the RRC’s business needs;
Ensuring the correct contractual mechanisms are in place for controlling performance based contracted cleaning services and mitigating risk;
Cleaning services include innovative cleaning processes consistent with the RRC’s environmental and energy saving initiatives;
Ensure the reduction of chemical use as a key performance indicator of the services;
Develop and expand the use of innovative, chemical free, natural cleaning techniques;
Optimise administration and delivery of contracted services to avoid fragmentation, duplication and Contract creep;
Incorporate the latest contemporary operational and human resource management techniques that optimise the performance of the cleaning services.
Mandatory Tenderers Briefing and Orientation
All Tenderers must attend a mandatory tender briefing and site orientation. The purpose of the briefing is to clarify the content of the tender documents and any queries or requests for clarification
from Tenderers. Tenderers must confirm their attendance and number of attendees by Monday the 18th of February 2019 at 14:00 hours.
