| Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced asphalt contractors for Asphalt Pavement Repairs 150mm and 50mm depth, at nominated locations on the Bruce Highway between the Puma Service Station (South of the works) to Woodum Road (Northern extent of the works). Brief Scope of Works (Summary)
This gives a brief background to the Tendering processes and objectives of this Request For Tender. As such, it is only a guide and is not to form part of any contract or agreement between the Gympie Regional Council (“Council”) or any person, firm or corporation.
Council is seeking Tenders for Asphalt Pavement Repairs, 150mm and 50mm depth at nominated locations within the site as directed by the Superintendent. AC14H and AC20M asphalt pavement materials shall be used to carry out Pavement Repairs and shall conform to all relevant Department of Transport and Main Roads requirements.
The work includes all operations required to undertake In-Lay Asphalt works.
This includes but is not limited to:
• Site Establishment of all plant and labour;
• Traffic Management in accordance with MUTCD;
• Excavation/milling and disposal to stockpile of existing pavement materials;
• Supply, delivery, spraying and rolling a sprayed seal using C170 bitumen and 10mm screenings beneath the 50mm asphalt wearing course.
• Supply, delivery, placing and compacting Asphalt Pavement AC20M and AC14H;
• Supply of Quality System records and test results;
• Install Temporary Raised Pavement Markers and line spotting where necessary; and
• Site clean-up and disestablishment.
All excavated existing pavement material and waste materials shall be conveyed to Council’s stockpile site at Gresham Road (off Woondum Road) Kybong as directed. Haul distance is up to 6 km.
Reinstatement of Line-marking will be carried out by others.
