You are invited to submit a Tender to carry out all works associated with the PC2 Upgrade and Refurbishment Works, Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery 2 (N75), Nathan campus, Griffith University.

Tenders close at 1.00 p.m on Tuesday the 30 July 2019 via the QTenders link 1088N160766BCONSCAP and in the format requested in the Conditions of Tender. Mailed, hand delivered tenders to the Principal’s place of business, faxed or electronic means other than the associated project QTenders link and late tenders will not be accepted.

Please note that tenders will not be opened publicly.

Any queries relating to the above Tender documents should be formally directed to the Project Manager Huw Hayes, Planning Design & Construction via huw.hayes@griffith.edu.au

You are required to check that all Tender documents received match those listed on the accompanying Document Transmittal. Acknowledgement of receipt of tender documents shall be provided in accordance with the Document Transmittal.

If you are unable to submit at Tender for whatever reason, you are requested to notify the person nominated above in writing stating the reason prior to the tender close date. This will assist me in preparing the tender evaluation, and will maintain your standing with the University as a potential tenderer for future works.

It is mandatory that you visit the site of the proposed project prior to submitting your Tender, as no additional costs will be approved by the Superintendent or paid by the Principal due to any failure on your part to appreciate the extent of the project and its impact on adjacent buildings or facilities, or to evaluate any constraints on access to the site of the works.

The site visit will occur on Tuesday the 16 July 2019 at 9am sharp with a maximum of four (4) team members including any preferred/nominated sub-contractors in attendance. Additional site visits are to be arranged upon via contact with the Project Manager and will only be considered in mitigating circumstances. Please  RSVP via email to Huw Hayes no later than 12:00pm Monday 15 July 2019.

The successful contractor will be appointed as the Principal Contractor and will negotiate access to the site with the Superintendent and campus representatives. Access is to be maintained to all areas of the campus during construction.
