The Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning through Economic Development Queendsland (EDQ) has recently received approval from the Sunshine Coast Regional Council for the amendment of the Sunshine Coast Industrial Park Structure Plan. 

The next stage of development is the submission of a development and operational works applications to council. EDQ is now seeking a suitable qualified Consultant to progress the following:

  • Review the Structure Plan and associated approval, environmental reports, engineering reports, flood study reports and proposed lot layout (as attached).  It is envisaged that the reconfiguration will be generally in accordance with the attached currently prepared lot layout and that there will be no further amendment to the Structure Plan.  Review of the proposed lot layout will include the development of an optional layout to include for approximately 500m2 of possible community facility area (e.g. Men’s/Women’s Shed) within or adjacent to the south eastern proposed stormwater quality improvement device/ drainage reserve)
  • Review of early environmental works to be addressed outside of this contract;
  • Preparation and submission of a Development Application for SCIP stage 2 for the Reconfiguration of Lot (RoL);
  • Preparation and submission of an Operational Works application for approval for SCIP stage 2 at the same time as the Development Application for SCIP stage 2 RoL application;
  • Liaison (commencing with a pre-lodgment meeting with Council and Unity Water) to ensure the application is complementary to the Structure Plan, other planned early environmental works and other EDQ/Sunshine Coast Council expectations;
  • Obtain approval from Council and any applicable concurrence agencies (Unity water, Energy Queensland, DTMR etc) for both applications.
