QUT Parking Permit and Casual Parking Systems

Currently QUT has a bespoke parking permit application system in place. The IT support for the software will cease at the end of 2019 and QUT are therefore required to implement a new permit application system prior to the end of 2019 to ensure business continuity. QUT provides approximately 2000 permits for staff, students, contractors and visitors per annum.

In addition, QUT currently has multiple payment methods available for casual parking and would like to reduce the equipment and systems used to collect payments for parking on both campuses. Approximately 600,000 casual parking transactions occur at QUT each year.

 A staged approach to the implementation of new casual payment systems may be adopted, depending on the solutions offered and the costs to implement.

QUT is looking for a vendor with the ability to provide;

  1. A Parking Permit Application and Payment Solution
  2. A Casual Parking Payment Solution for on and off street parking

Ideally, the above requirements would be managed under one contract, however consideration will be given to individual elements to ensure QUT receives the best value for money.
