S Block Refurbishment and Possible Extension, Kelvin Grove
The purpose of this project is to refurbish and possibly extend S-Block on QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus to support the education of QUT students. The project will specifically explore the possibility of using this building to accommodate the School of Biomedical Sciences and/or the School of Clinical Sciences, both of which are currently located on QUT’s Garden Point campus.
A Principal Consultant is required to develop and deliver a Concept Design including test fit outs as described in this Project Brief and, pending QUT’s approval to continue, the development of a Detailed Design for the refurbishment and possible extension of S-Block on QUT’s Kelvin Grove Campus.
This consultancy will be undertaken in the following two stages:
Stage 1 – Brief Development and Concept Design
Stage 2 – Schematic Design, Design Development, Documentation for Tender and Construction, Tender Phase, Construction and Post Construction.
The project will need to undertake a Concept Design process that includes two test fits. These test fits will align with either the current and anticipated needs of the School of Biomedical Sciences or the current and anticipated needs of the School of Clinical Sciences. The Consultant shall allow to produce three (3) Concept Design options for each test fit.
