The Department of Resources is leading the development of the Queensland Resources Industry Development Plan QRIDP). It is planning for the QRIDP to be finalised and ready to be implemented by July 2022.
A major focus of the QRIDP is to quickly position government and industry to be ready to capitalise on the global demand for the minerals and metals that the world needs to create the products of the future and tackle climate change.
A campaign is required to build confidence in government’s plan to transform the industry to be a global supplier of new economic minerals, and, in doing so, ensure that the industry continues to provide high-quality, high-wage jobs and be a critical contributor to the State’s economy.
