View Contract Details

Suppliers are invited by the Customer to submit an offer for Invitation to Offer No. RDMW20220034 for the provision of Regional Water Assessments – Lead Contractor as specified in Part B – Contract Details document.

The Customer is committed to advancing the economic, environmental and social objectives of the Queensland Government, including, maximising Queensland suppliers’ opportunities to participate in government business, supporting regional and remote economies, and doing business with ethically, environmentally and socially responsible suppliers.  

The scope of the potential Contract will cover the following requirements (see Part B – Contract Details – Schedule 1 Requirements for full details):

1. To deliver the technical assessment and public facing Regional Water Assessment (RWA) for one, or both the following Packages:
   1. Package 1 - Southern and Darling Downs
   2. Package 2 – Tablelands.
2. These areas have been prioritised for RWA development and include the state’s most significant food bowl areas, which were identified as having the best potential to achieve greater regional economic development through investment in water.
3. The suitably qualified and experienced Lead Contractor(s) will be responsible for the identification of both infrastructure and non-infrastructure options to meet the service need, shortlisting of options, detailed analysis of shortlisted options, development of a strategy to implement preferred options, management of a public consultation process for the strategy, and delivery of the public facing RWA.
4. Separate contracts will be considered for the development of the service need and assessment of water planning requirements, however a single contract could be awarded to a single supplier. The information generated by the contract or two contracts will form a fundamental building block to the technical analysis, and integration of this data with the Lead Contractor analysis will be critical to the successful delivery of the RWA.
