| The University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking offers from suitably qualified contractors to undertake construction / remediation works on some of the Heritage Buildings at UQ’s Gatton Campus. The UQ Gatton Campus is entered in the Queensland Heritage Register and is subject to the provisions of the Queensland Heritage Act 1992. Several buildings identified in the Queensland Heritage Register (QHR#601672) entry are of significance, not in use, with some being poor condition.
The project team have reviewed the portfolio of heritage buildings at Gatton and have nominated to do further works on the following 8 buildings in 2021 / early 2022:
- Stallion Yards Stall 3 (8219)
- Stallion Yards Stall 4 (8220)
- Farm Square (8216) [Only the Southern Wing as well as undertake further investigations of the building]
- Dwelling no 37 Mendel (8411)
- Dwelling no 38 Mendel (8413)
- Potato Shed North of Warrego Highway
- Pump House Station (8425)
- Secondary Pump House Station (8424)
Please note that a mandatory Site Visit will be held at the Gatton Campus on Tuesday 28th September 2021. Contractors are required to attend the Site Visit in order to submit an Offer. Please register the names of attendees (maximum two representatives per Contractor) with procurement@uq.edu.au as soon as possible.
