The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Concept Design Development for Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) at TMR Muirlea Depot.
For detailed information on the specific goods / services sought under this tender, please review the Engagement Brief - Concept Design Development for Accelerated Pavement Testing (APT) at TMR Muirlea Depot and associated documents.
Please note new key dates.
Please note the clarification to the APT shed design requirements, which should be taken into account in addition to the original requirements as detailed in the Scope of the Engagement Brief.
1. The shed needs to be designed so that, while one test pit is being tested, the other pit can be constructed while open to the elements. This will require that the shed panels are moveable or removeable to enable approximately half the shed to be enclosed for APT testing while the residual shed part is used to construct the test samples. The noise resulting from testing continuing during this needs to be managed.
2. The design needs to enable the construction equipment to enter and leave the concrete tanks including;
- adequate length of ramps adequate for large wheelbase plant, and
- that the ramps cannot compromise the uniformity of the specific locations of the pavement samples to be tested.
3. In addition to 3-phase power requirements, total amperage is required to ensure that power, either by cable or permanent power board, can access both test tanks as well as enable movement around the facility including access to any standdown areas.
4. Design is to include a trench beside each concrete tanks to enable a cooling system to be installed if required – now or in the future – such as cooling fluid pipes and additional power needs.
