Sunshine Coast Industrial Park Stage 2 - Civil Works Contract

The Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning on behalf of Economic Development Queensland has a requirement for a suitably qualified principal contractor for the construction of Civil works for the Sunshine Coast Industrial Park Stage 2 at Lot 800 Racecourse Road, Corbould Park (Lot 800 on SP319207).

BACKGROUND - These works will deliver 41 industrial lots ranging in size between 4,000m2 and 1.4 ha as well as 3 infrastructure lots for sewer and stormwater drainage purposes which will be dedicated to the relevant authority on completion along with approx. 33.7 ha of environmental reserve land which will vest in Sunshine Coast Council on completion.

IMPORTANT NOTE - An eligibility requirement for tenderers to be considered will be prequalification under the Austroads Transport Infrastructure National Prequalification System for civil construction at the following minimum levels:

  • Financial Level F15
  • Roadworks R2

CURRENT STATE - The land has been cleared of vegetation but is otherwise unimproved and is available for development works to commence.

Development Approval for the proposed works has been secured from Sunshine Coast Council. Further Operational Works approvals from Sunshine Coast Council, Energex and Unity Water are required prior to commencing construction. Applications for these are underway.

SITE BRIEFING - A site visit will be held as follows:

Location: Lot 800 Racecourse Road, Corbould Park

  • Date:  22 September 2021
  • Time:  10:30am – 12 noon – staggered inspections through this period may be required.
  • Tenderers are required to register their attendance by no later than 9am on Friday 17 September 2021

COVID 19 COMPLIANCE - Due to current COVID 19 restrictions Tenderers are to note that a maximum of two people are permitted at the site visit per Supplier. The Customer has adopted the following precautions with regard to COVID-19 for the site inspection.

  • All participants at the site visit must be familiar with and comply with Queensland Government COVID-19 advices: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/protect-yourself-others/coronavirus-prevention
  • Entry to the site may be staggered to maximise distancing if necessary.
  • Suppliers are required to bring their own PPE equipment including mask and hand sanitiser
