Economic Analysis of the Queensland Manufactured Home Park Industry
The Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy wishes to procure the services of a supplier under SOA QGP0050-18, to conduct an economic analysis of the manufactured home park industry in Queensland which includes an assessment of the potential impacts of several options to address the identified problems with site rent increases and unsold homes (and will be developed based on research inputs 1 and 2).
The deparment wants to establish a picture of the business and financial model of the manufactured home (residential parks) industry in Queensland, and to understand the potential impact of any reform options on the sector.
This research/analysis activity has two key components, namely:
providing a descriptive analysis of the operating models of the residential park sector with reference to available evidence, and acknowledgement of data gaps
an assessment of the impact of various options on park owners, including the likely financial costs and benefits for individual park owners.
