The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a canteen refurbishment at The Gap State School, located at 1020 Waterworks Road, The Gap Qld 4061, as part of the canteen program.
The project consists of removal of the asbestos linings, demolition of the internal fittings and fixtures, reconfiguration of the internal spaces, new window openings, flooring, painting, equipment and benches. The position of the building is in the middle of the school with fair site access and working space. All works are to be completed by June 2022.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
- Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
- Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
