INVITATION TO SUBMIT A TENDER

You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specification (if any) supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.

Description of Works:
As part of the Master Planning, N13 is due for demolition, therefore the spaces currently within N13 are required to be relocated. Security’s office will be relocated to N53. Further details on the Refurbishment for Security relocation can be found on the drawings and specifications attached to this Tender.

Tenderers shall note the following:

Time: 1.00 pm

  •  The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.
  •  Tenders shall remain valid for 30 calendar days.
  •  The tenders will not be opened publicly.
  •  Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria and weightings, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;
  •  Site walk troughs will be held on the below dates at 11:00am sharp for 30 minutes. Please RSVP 24 hours before via email to the nominated time/date to the Project Manager. Meeting point will be at the N13 Security Office. Please ensure all subcontractors are accompanied with their respective builder. Subcontractor without their respective builder will not be granted access.

  •  Construction program – 
  1.  Program is to detail the construction activity that clearly identifies milestones for sub-contractors works and long order lead-times, including but not limited to lockers, joinery, furniture etc.
  2. The nominated Practical Completion (PC) date is the targeting PC date for the University. Confirm through your program that the University Target date can be achieved.
  •  Contractor’s key resources –
  1.  Provide names and qualifications of proposed site management and support staff together with details of any previous experience in working on a University campus.
  2.  GU reserves the right to reject any nominated person and request an alternative nomination.
  •  Construction Methodology –
  1.  Control of noisy works during Griffith University operating hours
  2.  How will the site be managed (WHS compliance)
  3.  Provide a methodology on how materials and equipment will be delivered. This will include providing a deliveries plan/schedule for all delivery items.
  •  Price –
  1. Tenderers are to complete and return the Supplementary Tender Form
