JCU commissioned Building Fire Safety Risk Assessment reports to be prepared following an audit of JCU built assets across their two (2) main Campus (Townsville and Cairns), that identified the potential presence of combustible cladding and non-compliant materials.
The completed reports identified thirteen (13) buildings that have non-conforming combustible cladding to varying degrees. Of these buildings there is only three (3) which JCU would like to pursue alternative solutions for with suitable consultants in lieu of a Deemed to Satisfy solution ONLY given the extent of the cladding and disruption to operation of these buildings. JCU has an extensive archive of Building Assets and PDF Documents pertaining to the buildings implicated shall be provided by JCU, and where CAD information is available they can be accessed by the successful Consultants.
