The QBCC is seeking Proposals for the Provision of Outsourced Internal Audit Function Services.
The Supplier must be able to provide the services specified below to the Customer, in accordance with the Requirements described in this Schedule and the Institute of Internal Auditors – Australia, Standards (IIAS).
The QBCC is required, under the Financial Accountability Act 2009 and the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2009 (FPMS), to have an internal audit function that meets the requirements of the legislation. The requirements of the FPMS include carrying out planning appropriate to the size and functions of the organisation and preparing for approval a strategic audit plan and an annual audit plan.
Overview of current Audit requirements
The 2023 audit plan comprises of audits into the following areas of the QBCC:
- IT access and authentication
- Budget management
- Insurance claims processes
- Financial sustainability
- Customer experience
It is expected that this program of work will be delivered by the successful supplier. Following appointment and prior to commencement of internal audits, it is expected that the successful supplier will meet with the CEO and Commissioner and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee to confirm the timing and subjects of the internal audits in relation to the 2023 audit plan.
