Electrical Compliance Services for Wolfram Camp Mine Site
The Department of Resources (DoR), Technical Services team, manages the care and maintenance of the Wolfram Camp Mine (WCM) site as it is classified as an ‘abandoned mine’. The site is located 24km north west of Dimbulah in Far North Queensland (https://goo.gl/maps/Yj6rHMjAvuqHnwzXA)
DoR are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced person to:
Provide an advisory service to ensure that Wolfram Camp Mine infrastructure and operations on the site are electrically safe and compliant with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Electrical Safety (ES) legislative requirements.
Undertake quarterly site inspections, including engagement with site personnel, followed by an inspection report providing a summary as well as tracking any recommendations.
Review and oversee the site’s Electrical Installation Safety Management Plan, including routine auditing and continuous improvement.
Conducting the general duties of a ‘Person to Control Electrical Work’ (PCEW) as outlined within the Mines and Quarrying Safety and Health (MQSH) Act, as the desired service standard, although without being formally appointed (as the legislation does not legally apply to the site).
