INVITATION TO SUBMIT A TENDER
You are invited to submit a Tender for the execution and completion of the works described below in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications supplied herewith, the Griffith University Conditions of Tender & Conditions of Contract for ‘Minor Works’ herein, and any other information issued by the Principal for the purposes of tendering.

Description of Works:
The Queensland Conservatorium of Music, also known as Griffith University Building S01 (GU S01) was constructed in 1994 and is an operational facility. This project involves the upgrade of the existing Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System throughout the facility.

Time: 1.00 pm

‐ The Contract is a Lump Sum Fixed Price not subject to adjustment for rise and fall in costs.
‐ Tenders shall remain valid for 60 calendar days.
‐ The tenders will not be opened publicly.

Tenders will be evaluated in accordance with the following Criteria and weightings, and tenderers are required to address these criteria in their tender submission;
‐ Technical Ability / Service Ability / Capacity (30%) – Contractors technical ability to understand the specific requirements and the deliverables of the project evidenced by task appreciation, methodology, quality, timeline/Program provided, as well as capacity to undertake the works.
i. Proposed overall project delivery timescale demonstrating key task sequencing and dependencies.
ii. A clearly defined project methodology, including staging plans, noise and vibration management, crane lifting and traffic management demonstrating how the contractor will maintain safe pedestrian and vehicular access at all times.
iii. Demonstrate an understanding of site restrictions and surroundings in order to minimise disruption to campus operations.
iv. OHS Site Management and Approach – Identify key construction risk issues and proposed assurance strategies.
v. Environmental compliance.
vi. Willingness to agree to Contract Terms and Conditions.
‐ Previous experience / Project Team and Capability (25%) – Contractor’s previous experience of similar projects together with their organisation’s project team capability and track record to suit Griffith requirements, evidenced by previous project examples and project staff resumes.
‐ Price (30%) – Tenderers are to complete all of the Appendices in the Specification including the Separable Portions and Options.
‐ Impact Procurement (15%) – Demonstration of alignment to QPP, Queensland Procurement Policy Objectives and Benefits including QIPP – Local Buy.
‐ History of compliance with Procurement, tendering and other government policies.
‐ Corporate Social Responsibility outcomes such as supporting Local Suppliers, Social Enterprises, positive environmental outcomes and First Peoples business/ Indigenous business, Modern Slavery, Ethical Suppliers Mandate.
‐ Proposed / Potential Indigenous spend.
‐ Workplace Integrated Learning opportunities for Griffith students.
