| Queensland Rail has identified 11 high priority life-expired bridges between Kuranda and Forsayth that require either full bridge replacement or component replacements. This project seeks to eliminate the maximum number of critical defects and temporary supports on the Tablelands System through the strategic replacement of ageing infrastructure.
This tender aims to establish a Major Works Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the Bridge Works ensuring high quality service, achieved deadlines and value for money.
The Scope of Work has been separated into two (2) packages as detailed below with tenderers able to respond to one or both categories:
- Package 1 - Construct Only - Three (3) Bridges + One (1) Optional Bridge
- Package 2 - Design & Construct - Five (5) Bridges + Two (2) Optional Bridges
Queensland Rail reserves the right to award either:
- One all-inclusive contract for the entirety of the Works (all 11 bridges)
- Two (2) contracts for the delivery of individual Packages
A mandatory site inspection will be held from 8 November 2021 to 11 November 2021. Refer to attached Section A - Preamble, Item 5. Site Inspection for specific details.
