QPWS&P is seeking a subject matter expert to review its fire management program in its entirety to ensure the Department's fire management capacity and capability are resourced to effectively achieve the Queensland government's primary legislation, statutory obligations, and strategic direction in contemporary fire management across prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery in response to a changing climate and the evolving bushfire risk to human life and property.
The review will include a comparative analysis of QPWS&P’s fire management capacity and capability against other States and Territories, and a report and presentation with clear recommendations outlining the future state of fire management.
