The Port of Townsville Limited (the Port) is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to assess and certify the Port’s Integrated Management Systems against published standards (The Standards).
The intention is to enter into a three-year contract with two twelve-month extensions at the port’s discretion.
The Port has mature systems and achieved certification to the standards as recent as 2020. Further the Port is undertaking a review with the view to further integrate systems and intend purchasing new software to support this progression.
In broad terms the objective of the engagement is to:
- Evaluate the level of conformance with the Port’s Integrated Management System against the applicable standard(s).
- Determine the ability of the ports management system to ensure it meets the applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the management system to ensure the Port is meeting its objectives.
- Identify areas of improvement / non-conformance within the management system.
The standards are:
- ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management Systems
- ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems
- ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
- ISO 27001:2013 – Information Technology Management Systems
- ISO 31000:2018 – Risk Management Standard
The Risk Management Standard is a recent addition and will need initial certification and then ongoing surveillance audits.
