| This requirement is for steel refurbishment and fabrication.
The SEQ Steel Bridge Refurbishment (Stage 3) is to galvanise existing steel spans, replace timber transoms with composite transoms, install walkways and guard rails on 10 SEQ steel bridges to improve safety and reduce maintenance and renewal requirements over the life of the assets. The Project is part of a rolling program of steel bridge refurbishment works. Stage 3 of the Project will address an additional 576m of steel bridging by the end of FY25.
Considering project timeframes and lead time for materials, the following sourcing activities are to be conducted:
- Phase 1 (completed) - Standalone contract for the delivery of three (3) bridges - Price Street, Dunlop Terrace and Bulimba Creek Bridges
- Phase 2 (this project) - Standalone contract for the delivery of four (4) bridges – Blackhall Terrace, Stable Swamp, Chelmer Street and Bridge Street.
This tender aims to establish a Supply of Goods and Services Contract with a suitably capable and experienced Contractor for the delivery of SEQ Steel Bridge Refurbishment – Blackhall Terrace, Stable Swamp, Chelmer Street and Bridge Street ensuring high quality service, achieved deadlines and value for money.
