Within the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs, the Far North Queensland Region is seeking a supplier(s) to provide seven (7) SIL places in Cairns, with the service model having a strong emphasis on assisting young people with complex needs to transition from care (job readiness, early housing applications, connection to learning or earning activities, connection to mainstream services and kin and community) and will have strong connections with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander suppliers and communities.
The Queensland Government is committed to supporting local economies by building local workforces and advancing economic, environmental and social objectives for the long-term wellbeing of Queenslanders. To meet this commitment, a local benefits test will be applied to this procurement process.
