| The Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning is pleased to invite offers for Stage 1 of The Spit Stories Project, as part of implementation of The Spit Wayfinding and Interpretive Framework.
The Spit Stories Project will deliver the final written and visual content for interpretive signage and other devices as proposed by the framework. The objective is create an interpretation experience that provides a balanced representation of the place, community and history and is also a vibrant placemaking tool that celebrates place and what is uniquely ‘The Spit’.
Stage 1 is the creation of final content for story themes under community, environment and ecology, leisure and trading and maritime storylines. The outputs of this commission will be integrated on interpretive devices in the northern part of The Spit and within the new developments taking place in The Village Centre.
