The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for FQ247A - Surveying Recreational Fishers and the General Public.

To determine if stakeholders are becoming more satisfied with Fisheries Queensland (FQ), the Assessment and Monitoring team is seeking to perform a survey that will assess the satisfaction of recreational fishers and the public with their engagement with FQ. The survey questions will be provided by FQ and will cover topics that include fishing activity, engagement with FQ, and the perceived sincerity and genuineness of this engagement. The Survey  may be delivered by mail, phone, email or any other means recommended by the supplier to maximise survey response rates. The sample will be representative of Queensland’s general public and fishing population, with respondents diverse in age, gender, region, education levels and fishing avidity. Respondents must be Queensland residents over the age of 18. Achieving a sample size of least 500 +/- 50 people who identify as recreational fishers and 200 +/- 20 people who are not recreational fishers (public). Data must be checked and delivered as MS Excel format with responses matched to the questions and respondent characteristics (e.g. gender, age group, residential region, education level, and fishing avidity). Data must be deidentified and not private or confidential in nature. Data will be collected by the supplier, owned by FQ and all intellectual property will be owned by FQ.
