Queensland Hydro are inviting Suppliers to quote for the provision of Geotechnical Laboratory Testing for the Pioneer-Burdekin and Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project (PBPHES).

The objective of this RFQ is to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with suitably qualified contractors to Geotechnical Laboratory Testing for the Pioneer-Burdekin and Borumba Pumped Hydro Energy Storage Project (PBPHES).

 Works to be carried out under this Contract include, but are not limited to:

• Customer requires geomechanical and geophysical (collectively, Geotechnical) testing of soil and rock samples collected during the proposed engineering geology and geotechnical investigations at, and around, both the Borumba PHES and Pioneer-Burdekin PHES projects.
• The results of Geotechnical testing will be used to validate the information provided on borehole and test pit logs and assist Queensland Hydro to assess soil and rock properties and suitability of materials for re-use in dam construction.
• Testing must be performed in a customer-approved geotechnical laboratory testing facility.
• Supplier will be required to organise and pick up samples for testing from the site storage facility at regular intervals (which will be no greater than two weeks).
