| HPR was established on 29 January 2024 as a result of organisational realignment in DJAG.
The division brings together existing regulatory units – Blue Card Services, Office of Fair Trading, and the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, all supported by a newly created unit, Regulatory Support Services. Office of Regulatory Policy moved from the then Liquor, Gaming and Fair Trading (LGFT) to the Justice Policy and Reform division.
To ensure the new division continues to deliver the best possible regulatory outcomes for the Queensland community, a review will be undertaken to guide the division’s future strategic focus, operating model and organisational design.
The purpose of this engagement is to support HPR in evolving our strategic regulatory approach over a two-year horizon.
