The mechanical systems at the UniSC Fraser Coast (Hervey Bay) campus have been upgraded in a piecemeal fashion since its construction. The air conditioning for each zone is at various stages of the asset life cycle. The Chiller replacement was identified as a critical asset upgrade in the Asset Management Plan developed for the Fraser Coast campus.
UniSC have secured two chillers from Trane Technologies and they are due to be delivered to the Fraser Coast Campus in May 2024. UniSC is seeking to enter into a contract to complete the installation of the pre-purchased Trane chillers in June 2024.
