DAF RDPP 230101 - Cost Benefit Analysis of sugarcane research, development and extension projects completed in 2021-22
The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals to provide a cost-benefit analysis of sugarcane RD&E projects completed in 2021-22 financial year.
To provide a report detailing the Impact Assessment for each Sugarcane research, development and extension project that was managed by Sugar Research Australia, co-invested by the Department and was completed by 30 June 2022. The report will also provide an overall summary for the collection of projects and a summary against the DAF investment. The projects are to be assessed using the RDC Impact Assessment Guidelines, and, where possible, should seek to ascertain the economic, environmental and social impact expressed in monetary value produced by RD&E project outputs for the Australian sugarcane industry and regional communities. Where possible, analyses should provide detailed commentary on the likely distribution of benefits from RD&E outputs between sectors of the Australian sugar industry, notably between sugarcane farmers and milling companies, and if applicable, any spill over benefits delivered to other industries. The final report should include specific recommendations for DAF and SRA to improve the effectiveness and/ or efficiency of RD&E projects in terms of benefits delivered to sugarcane farmers, milling companies, and regional communities..
