Fraser Coast Turtle Rehabilitation and Research Facility - Refurbishment and Fitout
UniSC are seeking the design and construction of a Turtle Rehabilitation Facility at Dayman Park, Hervey Bay for occupation by UniSC. This includes:
Comprehensive reconfiguration and refurbishment within the existing spaces including the external courtyard is to be carried out to maximise the use of the existing spaces within the leased building.
Shop drawings, installation, coordination of services and commissioning of seven quarantine tanks supported by three separate specialised Life Support Systems (LSS) including equipment, pipework, electrical items and associated elements.
The installation of the tanks and LSS includes the following:
Connection of tanks to supply and return pipework
Installation of LSS pipe work from plant rooms to tank locations
Connection of LSS units to pipework supply and return lines
Connection of LSS units to electrical supply (provided at termination point near control box)
Testing, commissioning and handover
12 months of post installation operational support and servicing
A fenced area will be constructed that will hold the salt water and waste management tanks and support services plus other general equipment.
Design and installation of all services as required to provide power, water and drainage as required, including connections to existing services.
Contract Documentation, technical specs, schedule of works including required services and any external works
Provide all design and installation certificates as required by the Building Certifier for approval and issuing of a Construction Certificate;
Comply with the NCC, BCA and all relevant Australian Standards, UniSC Design guidelines and UniSC sea turtle housing guidelines.
