| The Principal (CS Energy) has the objective to remove all asbestos containing materials from a number of vessels and equipment associated with the A2 Boiler at Mica Creek Power Station, Mount Isa. The Principal requires that the internal sections of the A2 Boiler Penthouse be cleaned up and decontaminated due to the presence of residual asbestos containing insulation. To meet this objective, the Principal intends to engage a competent and adequately resourced Asbestos Removal Contractor that has sufficient expertise and experience to ensure the project proceeds smoothly and is brought a timely conclusion while ensuring the work undertaken meets all the legitimate requirements of relevant authorities, codes and standards of good practice. To ensure the Asbestos removal work is undertaken in an appropriate manner the Contractor shall possess the appropriate licences issued by the Queensland Division of Workplace Health and Safety to undertake friable asbestos removal work. |
