The purpose of this Invitation To Offer (ITO) is related to the Design and Construction of a Floating Walkway, located at Turkey Beach, Queensland. The works are to follow specific timeframes as stated, with the design expected to commence on the 17th August 2011.
To engage a contractor with the ability to provide and perform the design and construction of the floating walkway in accordance with the attached Floating Walkway Specification for the Turkey Beach Floating Walkway project.
The successful Offeror, who becomes the Contractor, will be required to meet the time frames stated, provide the goods requested, maintain the quality required, as stated in specifications and all at an acceptable price.
3.3.1 RoadTek has been engaged as Superintendent by Transport Services Division (TSD) as a part of the Boating Infrastructure Capital & Maintenance Program (BICMP) currently being undertaken throughout Queensland. The program involves the construction of a concrete surfaced floating walkway and pontoon to improve the existing boating facilities within the state of Queensland. This ITO is specifically in relation to the design and construction of a new floating modular walkway at Turkey Beach. The floating walkway is to be positioned on the LHS lane of the existing two lane boat ramp. The floating walkway is to be approximately 2.5m wide, 35m long with an 8m long return, as depicted in the attached locality plan. The works are to be conducted under a design and construct contract.
