Demolition of B1 and B2 cooling Towers and Site Rehabilitation at Swanbank Power Station
CS Energy has a requirement for the demolition of the decommissioned Cooling Towers B1 and B2 at Swanbank Power Station and site rehabilitation. The Site is located north of Swanbank Cooling Water Dam with access from Swanbank Coal Road, Swanbank, near Ipswich.
The Cooling Towers are a Pritchard design and consist of large timber framed structures with concrete bases. The towers have large fans and fibre glass stacks installed in their roofs, fibre glass sheeting on the sides and internal polyethylene packing. There is also steel pipework and a number of valve pits and pump houses associated with each of the cooling towers.
