The SEQ Water Grid (Water Grid) is an integrated network of bulk supply and transport assets that, when operated conjunctively, deliver potable water in accordance with level of service objectives to South East Queensland (SEQ). The Water Grid was established on the underlying principle that water for urban and industrial use in the SEQ region is a shared resource, to be managed by optimal conjunctive use of water sources within the region.
The objective of the Data Management Capability project is the design, delivery and business integration of a database platform and related software to store and manage Water Grid related data for use by the Water Grid entities. This deliverable is referred to as the Data-Hub. The key components of the Data-Hub will include: • a data repository service/capability • tools required to automate extraction, transformation and load • data dissemination tools including XML feeds, CSV documents and custom feeds for specialist applications where such tools support visualisation processes • a hosting solution for the platform which may be either hosted by the SEQ Water Grid Manager or provided as a SaaS. The SEQ Water Grid Manager invites Expressions of Interest for systems and or consultancy services to assist the SEQ Water Grid Manager to meet the objectives outlined above. Please note that the Data-Hub is a supporting capability for knowledge management. The Invitation for Expressions of Interest for a Knowledge and Information Management Solution is to be released in the week commencing 11th April 2011. Vendors can offer on both tenders and leverage between the two with their proposal. Please use the 'Online Forum' link to ask any question about this Invitation. Offerors should monitor the Online Forum for questions and answers that could impact on their expression of interest. |
