Food for Sport: Food and Drink Supply Guidelines for Queensland Sporting Clubs
Food for Sport is a food supply initiative which aims to increase the supply of healthy food and drink at sporting clubs for members and the visiting public.
The Food for Sport Guidelines include a set of resources developed to support canteen facilities within sport clubs to provide healthy food and drink options. Food for Sport, launched in October 2010, was developed through a partnership between Sport and Recreation Services (SRS), Queensland Health (QH) and key stakeholders. Food for Sport is available online for sporting clubs to utilise, however greater awareness and support is required for clubs to implement the guidelines and maximise the potential benefits of the guidelines.
