Contractors are invited to tender for the supply of Traffic Response Units (TRUs) in the Greater Brisbane Area including Gold Coast.

A TRU is defined as an "on-road" service, providing effective traffic management and solutions to traffic incidents, disruptions to traffic flow, spillages and other on road emergencies.

TRUs form one part of the overall package of Traffic Incident Management Services (TIMS), and are administered through the Road Operations section of the DTMR (Metropolitan) and South Coast region. For the Brisbane Metropolitan area, this service is operated in "alliance" with Brisbane City Council (Road Use Management).
