The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Shade Structure & Roof Replacement at Kallangur SS, located at 139 School Rd, Kallangur QLD 4503, as part of the Targeted (Targeted & School Direct/Funded) program.
The proposed works include a new shade structure adjacent the existing multi-purpose hall on the Southern oval as well as a roof replacement and re-pitch to Block M (Music). Works include all associated infrastructure, services and relevant asbestos removal. The location of the works are the Southern oval and centre of the school campus with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by May 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
