The scope of works covers the design, manufacture, testing at works, delivery for installation by the Purchaser, testing on site, commissioning, and rectification of defects during the defect liability period of various items of replacement and new installation plant. Plant is required for injection bus voltages of 11, 22, 33, and 66kV, injection power ratings (approximately) of 80, 120, 200, and 440kVA, injection frequencies of 167, 217, 225, 317, and 425Hz, and signaling telegram protocols of Decabit and Double Decabit, Ricontic-B (modified), and Pulsadis. Load management is currently provided by 50 substations throughout Ergon Energy and a number of replacements had been carried out in the last period contract. A new period contract is required to continue with the strategy to replace or upgrade these sites over a number of years. As there are a number of various plant configurations used in Ergon Energy (injecting bus voltages, ratings, protocols, frequencies, etc), the successful Contractor will need to accommodate for such variations. This tender defines the anticipated requirements for replacement plant for the next five years with deliveries required against Job Orders. Plant for new installations will also be purchased under this Contract but sufficient information to allow a complete specification of these items is not available at present. It is envisaged that plant for new installations will be purchased as variations to this Contract.
