Section 1

Tender Overview

To assess the identified wells and determine and document the options available to the Queensland Government - Department of Resources.

The assessment is to be based on desktop investigation of available data and site inspection to better understand site specifics.

The identified wells are:

Wompi 1, located approximately 210km west of Thargomindah on Naryilco Station, was drilled in 1988 on ATP 259 sub block BROK 262 (relinquished 31 December 1994, Santos) and converted as a water supply bore (RN 23578). The bore was drilled to a depth 1844m and plugged back to 1432m. In its current state is not properly and effectively plugged.

Curalle 1, located approximately 180km southwest of Windorah on Arrabury Station, was drilled in 1980 on ATP 259 Sub block COOP 1623 (relinquished 31 December 1990, Santos) and converted as a water supply bore in 1981 (RN 22946). The bore was drilled to a depth of 1937m. In its current state is not properly and effectively plugged.

Wyseby 1A, located approximately 200km North of Roma on Wyseby Station, was drilled in 1986 on EPM 3765 (expired 27 May 1989, Denison Resources N.L.). The bore was drilled to a depth 1540m Denison Resources N.L (and Denison Resources Limited) was delisted February 1991. In its current state is not properly and effectively plugged nor is it a registered water bore.
