Section 1

Tender Overview

The provision of one generator of 1250kVA or two generators of 500kVA or 600kVA are to be installed on the site supplying at least 800kW to the network. Ergon Energy requires that the generators supplied will be capable of running continuously at the contracted site rating. These ratings are 50oC ambient (site).
The generating set/s will be starting and running against the grid either continuously or at times and or loads specified by Ergon Energy. It is possible that alternate methods of control such as VAR (volt ampere reactive), power factor (PF), base load or voltage control may be required by Ergon Energy.
It is expected that each generator will be controlled and / or monitored by means of wireless (satellite) or next G telephone communications.
The installation of the canopied generating sets shall be on the site/s specified by Ergon Energy, however the final connection to the Ergon Energy’s grid shall be the responsibility of Ergon Energy.
