Section 1

Tender Overview

Powerlink Queensland invites Tenders for the provision of Major HV Transmission Line Construction Services.
Major HV Transmission Line Services are broadly classified as follows:
• 110kV and above;
• Steel Tower and/or Steel Pole, single and double circuit construction;
• Concrete pole, single circuit construction of route length greater than 25km;
• Requirement for the provision of transmission line design services including structure prototyping and testing;
• Requirement for procurement of structures including lattice steel towers and steel and concrete poles;
• Long length stringing runs and/or high number of stringing pulls using tension stringing methods;
• All transmission line construction activities including clearing and access works, foundation construction, structure assembly and erection and conductor stringing; and
• Overall Project and Contract Management of the integrated delivery of services.
The Invitation to Tender consists of two Parts.
Part A – Panel Agreement for Transmission Lines; and
Part B – Invitation to Tender for the Yabulu South to Ingham 132/275kV Transmission Line.
To be considered, a Tender must be submitted for both Parts. Tenderers which do not respond to both Parts will not be considered.

A compulsory site inspection will be carried out on 17 November 2009 commencing at 7:30 am at 13 Reward Court,
Bohle. Prospective Tenderers shall contact Stephen Mayoh on phone (07) 4774 6825 or mobile 0427 167 255 by
12.00 hrs on 12 November 2009 to confirm attendance.
All costs associated with attending the site inspection shall be borne by the Tenderer.
Failure by a Tenderer to attend a site inspection may render their tender non-conforming.
