The scope of the contract includes the management and provision of Public Lighting inspection, maintenance and data capture services for the Southern, Central and Northern Ergon Energy Electricity Distribution Supply Network.
The Contractor must carry out two programs in respect to Public Lighting in the Ergon Energy area of supply. The two programs are Public Lighting Bulk Lamp Replacement and Public Lighting Road Patrols. The programs are distinguishable from each other by the type of Work performed and the locations in which they are executed. The distinction between Bulk Lamp Replacement and Lighting Patrols is best described using the following table:

Lights around the corner of major road (where it forms part of the High Intensity Lighting scheme for that road)

The Public Lighting Lamp Replacement Program is intended to be a “find and fix now” program, whereas the Public Lighting Road Patrols Program is generally intended to be a “find and fix later” program.
The “fix later” function for the Public Lighting Road Patrols programs will be packaged separately to be completed either internally by Ergon Energy staff or as a separate package of Works under another Service Agreement.
The Contractor shall provide the necessary labour, training, equipment, materials and transport in order to complete the inspection, maintenance, testing, data capture and any required repairs by the required target dates.
The Works will be divided into three separate regions and may be undertaken by one or more Contractors:
• Southern Region Public Lighting - Part A
• Central Region Public Lighting - Part B
• Northern Region Public Lighting - Part C
In the event a Contractor is unable or unwilling to perform Work in its region, a different Contractor from a different region may be required to perform the backlog Work.
The term of the Standing Order is five years.
