The approach bridge to the southern end of Wharf 7 and 8 is a steel structure that was repurposed in circa 1994 from a historical roll-on roll-off (ro-ro) port facility. The original ro-ro structure was constructed in circa 1982. The approach bridge is approximately 32m in length and 9m wide, supported on 5 steel piles and a landside concrete abutment. The tender includes the ability to price Composite Fibre Technology (CFT) decking and CFT replacement of steel member options. PN requests Tender Submissions from suitably qualified and available Contractors with appropriate experience in the application of high quality marine paint systems for the provision of these works. Works are within an operational port environment and include the provision of appropriate access and environmental controls in the tidal zone. |
