Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) is seeking proposals for the provision of patient transport services. 

GCHHS requires transfer patients between its facilities and other external health service providers for appointments or to receive treatment. These services require fully equipped charter vehicle, driver and paramedic or registered nurse for the transfer of patients between GCHHS facilities, and to private hospitals or other facilities in the Gold Coast, Brisbane and northern New South Wales region.

Patient transport services support GCHHS patient flow and bed management, ensuring that patients have timely access to appropriate transport services:

• To attend time critical appointments
• For transfer to private hospital or other health facilities to receive ongoing treatment that is not available at the current facility.

The following Patient Transport Services are out of scope:

• Transport of patients from hospital or other health facilities to their home or residence; and
• Patients requiring cardiac monitoring or acute care.
