Section 1

Tender Overview

The Queensland Government through the Department of Justice and Attorney General is seeking Proposals for a suitable supplier to provide the services of an organisation to provide a First Nations Cultural Advisor to be part of the Redlands High Risk Team (HRT) to ensure strengths-based, culturally-led domestic and family violence (DFV) responses for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Redlands region.

An identified gap in the current HRT model is the lack of cultural capability and First Nations representation with appropriate cultural authority to discuss issues and provide advice to guide responses to relevant cases.  It is anticipated that the First Nations Cultural Advisor will bridge this gap.

The engagement of an organisation to provide a First Nations Cultural Advisor in the Redlands HRT will enable relevant cases to be reviewed by a First Nations person who can provide tailored advice around the specific needs of the individual, with the consideration of local protocols, languages, and family/kinship groups.  This will enable strengthened engagement with, and provision of services to First Nations people and their communities.

For detailed information on the specific goods / services sought under this tender, please review the "Specification Documents" in "Section 3 - Here is the detail".
