Section 1

Tender Overview

This RFQ is for a Principal contractor to complete a lump sum construction project for the alterations to the existing LSS (Aquarium Equipment) Plantroom at the Ground Level of The Science Place, Building 142, JCU Townsville.

The proposed alterations are in response to maintenance issues identified. The scope of works includes demolition of an existing fire and acoustically rated wall between the plantroom and adjacent foyer space. A new wall is then to be constructed into the existing foyer area to achieve greater access around the plantroom equipment to assist in servicing and achieving suitable waterproofing.

The works will involve alterations to existing joinery and internal finishes on the foyer side. Reinstatement of this area will need to be undertaken in keeping with the design of the existing building.

RFQ close date and time will be 2pm QLD Time, 29th November 2023.
