Section 1

Tender Overview

Queensland Health is reviewing options for mechanical automation of warehouse processing functions for pharmaceutical products. As part of our commitment to procurement best practices, Queensland Health is initiating a market sounding exercise to solicit industry feedback regarding the feasibility, interest, and innovative approaches in deploying mechanical warehouse automation solutions. The insights gathered will shape our future sourcing strategy and procurement process.

As a minimum, Queensland Health is considering mechanical automation technologies for the warehouse that:

  • facilitate stock induction into various storage configurations (each, inner, outer, or carton pick locations), enable high-density storage, support stock retrieval for human-assisted picking, and offer sortation capabilities.
  • integrates with S/4HANA version 2021 SP02 or higher, allowing for near real-time communication and data exchange.

Interested parties are invited to participate in this market sounding process. If you wish to contribute to this process, please provide your name, position title, contact details and business name to the contact officer (Emma Kurki) by the specified closing time and date provided below.

Following the closing date, Queensland Health will contact selected interested parties to discuss further steps in the market sounding process, where more detailed operational and functional requirements may be shared.

Note that participation, or lack of participation, in this market sounding exercise will not influence the outcome of any future procurement process, should one arise.
