QPS StatewideTowing Services Procurement – Phase 1 (Townsville District)
Overview:
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) has undertaken a review of its procurement strategies for delivery of QPS towing services across Queensland and seeks to implement a new Statewide Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for the provision of QPS towing services in Queensland.
To maximise the opportunity for success on a statewide basis, the rollout will be staggered over two Phases, beginning with Phase 1 – SOA for Provision of QPS Towing Services in the Townsville District. QPS will evaluate and review the Townsville implementation, before commencement of the statewide procurement process (Phase 2).
QPS intends to approach the market within the next two weeks with an Invitation to Offer (ITO) for the establishment of a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for Provision of Towing Services in the Townsville District. The scope of the SOA will include requirements for both:
- Police Authorised Towing and Storage Services for Motor Vehicles; and
- Motor Vehicle Impoundment (MVI) Towing and Storage Services relating to Type 1 and Type 2 offences.
QPS will be seeking responses from established and suitably experienced towing services providers with a proven track record in the provision of towing and storage services who can provide a highly professional, ethical, and responsive service, and be compliant with all relevant legislation and regulation. Note the new SOA for the Townsville District may entail a Panel of suppliers at QPS’ discretion and the scope of services will include the towing of stolen vehicles located, at QPS expense.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please monitor QTenders for the advertisement of the upcoming QPS ITO.
