Tender Overview

Queensland Hydro seeks Registrations of Interest from local goods and services providers for our Borumba Pumped Hydro Project (the Project) for the Main Support Works.  The Main Support Works may include but are not limited to works required to enable and facilitate the Main Works, including:

  • Public roads and bridges (to Queensland TMR standards)
  • On-site roads and bridges
  • Camp supply and operations
  • Water Treatment and Supply
  • Wastewater and Sewage
  • Temporary Power Solutions
  • Mains Power Connection Works
  • Temporary and Back-up Communications Solutions
  • Telstra Connection Works
  • Quarry Services Onsite
  • Quarry Products Supply
  • Solid Waste Management and Recycling - Onsite Solutions
  • Solid Waste Management and Recycling - Offsite Solutions.

The Transaction Strategy for these works is being developed, and Queensland Hydro plans to commence targeted market sounding in Q2 and procurement from Q3/Q4 2024.

Queensland Hydro will use the information gathered from the Registration of Interest process to develop the Transaction Strategy and inform market screening and wider supply chain awareness activities.  

Registrations of interest are sought from the following providers:

  • Professional services
  • Manufacture and Supply
  • Construction and Installation
  • Operations
  • Maintenance
  • Aboriginal-owned businesses
  • Any Opportunities, i.e. optional, ad-hoc or other
